Build a BR-Map

The gamemode is a mutator, which overrides the mapfiles of the gamemode. Though you need the basic gamemode files in your paking, which you can download here.

You will find 2 Folder. Move them to Content Folder of your editor.


Content > UT4BombingRun     -gamecore files. Do not move or rename any of these files.
Content > UT4BombingRun > Mutator_Adrenaline  - Adrenpilldummy for Adrenaline pills
Content > UT4BombingRun > BRdummy - for ballspawn and goals only one per map


You don't need to add the gamemode, as long as you use "BR-Mapname". The shortcut in fornt of the map will add the gamemode.

Place AdrenPillDummy as you want. It will only spawn in BombingRun gamemode

Place Ballspawn and Goals. They will be patched with the mutator. Don't rename or move any file of UT4BombingRun Folder.     

To test your map with ball, pak your map and play an offline game in UT with the BR gamemode as mutator.

Convert a UT2003/UT2004/UT3 BR-Map

Download:

Inside the UT4 converter, you need to set the paths of your old Unrealgame and of UTEditorContent. Download xnview and umodel, described in the UT4Converter. Assign those paths. Everything set? 

Choose your map and convert it. Drag all files into a folder inside your UTEditor > Content > Folder

Open UTEditor. Go to your folder and you find nothing.
Click on Import and import the following parts as described one by one:
Import > Music > Select all > Import
Import > Sound > Select all > Import
Import > Static Mesh > Select all > Import
Import > Textures > Select all > Import > Select all > Create Material

Now you are ready to import the map. Open a new level with no content
Then click:
File > Import into level > Go to your folder
You find no file.
Type in the bar "*.*" and press Enter
Alternative you can "copy all" of Notepad and paste with ctrl + v into empty map.



Select the .t3d file. Wait... Build all Wait... Save map as your Mapname
Have fun editing and use the BR-MapKit.
